[Feature Request] It would allow more compatibility with other assemblers to have a flag that would extend the %include directive to allow including files in sub-directories, both of the current directory and a sub-directory of a directory in the -I search path.

can you provide examples such command line examples and behavior expected ?

  • on Aug 16 I replied to nasm-bugs:

As a user you can always do something like this

    nasm $(find . -type d | sed -e 's/^/-I \\"/g' -e 's/$/\\"/g' | xargs) source.asm

to explicitly add all sub directories in the current directory to
the list of include file paths. (Stick it e.g. into your Makefile.)

I see little need to burden NASM itself with that functionality.
