As you are in xml, you will need to escape the quotes = try using " e.g. <exec program="${wix.dir}\light.exe" workingdir=".\wix" commandline="-ext WixUIExtension -cultures:en-us SampleFirst.wixobj -out "${release.dir}\Nant Test.msi" You may also be able to use single quotes round the -out parameter - haven't tried it though.
