NagVis 1.5 stable released

We are proud to announce the new stable release 1.5 of NagVis. The new release is a big step to make NagVis faster and easier to use.

There are many changes compared to the last stable release 1.4.7. The most important of them are:

The MKLivestatus backend is the default backend now. You don't need a relational database like MySQL and the NDO anymore. This gives NagVis a big performance gain and makes the Nagios+NagVis easier to use and maintain. You simply need to extend your Nagios installation with the MKLivestatus NEB module.... read more

NagVis 1.5b4 released

We just released NagVis 1.5b4. This is a major fix release which includes many usability improvements but also a major change in the backend layer which will result in a real performance gain in most environments.

Many browser compatibilty problems in the WUI with older versions of Firefox and IE have been fixed so the WUI should work with IE7 and above and Firefox and above.

The performance improvement in the backend layer has been reached by a major change in the architecture. A small drawback is that the Merlin MySQL backend has not been updated yet so it won't work in this test release. Plus the ndo2fs backend has been dropped with this version since it was not worth to update it.... read more
