Looks like nagstamon leaks a lot of memory. After running for 5 days it uses 288MB private memory. On another machine after running for two weeks or something, it was using more than 500MB.
Feature Requests: #71
This sounds bad. What OS do you run it on? What kind of monitor are you connecting to?
It's a clean WIndows 7 installation. I have two nagios servers configured, one is 3.0rc3, another is 3.3.1. There are loads of configured hosts and services on both. But right after start nagstamon only uses 20MB of memory.
I am using some regexp filters to filter out some services and statuses.
I will monitor this behaviour. The regexps might be a good place to look at.
Can you please check latest Windows binary build http://sourceforge.net/projects/nagstamon/files/nagstamon/nagstmon%200.9.10-devel/Nagstamon_0.9.10-devel-20130205_setup.exe/download
Thanks + regards
I cannot test it because installer insists on having admin rigts even when I'm running it with __COMPAT_LAYER=RunAsInvoker environment.
Please check http://sourceforge.net/projects/nagstamon/files/nagstamon/nagstmon%200.9.10-devel/Nagstamon-20130207.zip/download run the included nagstamon.exe.
I checked this out and it seems that it is still increasing but not as much as before. Today I started with the above build at 20MBytes and now after about 8 Hours it takes 46MBytes. With the 0.99 Release within the same running time it increases from 20MBytes to about 75MBytes.
Hope that helps a bit.
Ah before you ask, I'm running Nagstamon always on Windows 7 SP1 32Bit with 3Gbytes of RAM installed.
Another question: What monitor do you use? Plain Nagios or some derivative?
It is a plain Nagios Version 3.4.4
Can you let it run further? I get an increase from 18 mb to 30 mb but it keeps on the latter for almost two days now. Would be cool if it would stay in your tests at the last number.
Thanks for testing!
