    Hello,

I have a dedicated server with Plesk 8.1.1, FedoraCore 4, Php 5.0.4 (Safe Mode On) and MySQL 4.1.20.

I have had many problems to install MyThreads 1.1.2 (I have activated php3 and I have installed MyThreads manually -including importing of database.sql and sampledata.sql-).

Now, I can view the Home Page (index.php3), but nothing works: If I click on links, categories, [New links] [Updated links] [Top links] [Add a Category] [Add a Link] [Update a Link] [Admin] or [Home], I only see the Home Page.

    I can't use php3_track_vars on:

1.- If I use a .htaccess file with "php3_track_vars on", I have a Internal Server Error.

    2.- If I modify httpd.conf, I have a Failed Error.

What is the problem? What can I do to resolve it?

    Thanks

      Hi!
If you have an internal server error, you should have more details in /var/log/apache/error.log.

Also php3 is only here for backward compatibility. You should be able to access your site with index.php
PHP3 is not needed (and i'm not sure that mythreads still works with php3 !).

        Ludo.

      Hi Ludo!

      > If you have an internal server error, you should have more details in /var/log/apache/error.log.

/var/log/apache/error.log does not exist in my server (Plesk).

I have asked about it in http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=178736 and to my hosting dealer.

      I have the same problem.

      :-(

      Thanks for your help

        Hello again, Ludo,

Two possibilities for Apache error logs in Plesk:
        /var/log/apache/error.log
        /var/www/vhosts/DOMAIN/statistics/logs/error_log

1.- Without php3_track_vars, mythreads does not work (If I click on links, categories, [New links] [Updated links] [Top links] [Add a Category] [Add a Link] [Update a Link] [Admin] or [Home], I only see the Home Page), but there are no logs about the problem.

2.- With .htaccess (php3_track_vars on), I have a Internal Server Error. The error log is: "Invalid command 'php3_track_vars', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration".

3.- With 'php3_track_vars on' in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf, I can't restart httpd service and all websites are KO. The error log is: "Invalid command 'php3_track_vars', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration".

        Any idea?

        Thanks.
