No

It would be really great if You included the option
(available as of MySQL 3.23.49) to set the option to
allow LOAD DATA LOCAL via mysql_options(). Could really
use it for something i'm writing using Your module.

This looks like it's enabled by default, but I'll consider
adding that so that it can be turned off. You could also do
    this with the defaults file.

MySQL's documentation claims that it's enabled by default,
but it's not true. First of all, i've tried it, and second
of all, take a look at the option as listed in "./configure
--help" in the MySQL distribution directory.

I know i can use the config file, and right now i am doing
that. However, i'm writing software that other people will
    use (http://sourceforge.net/projects/dshieldpy), and i can't
very well tell them that they need to enable local-infile.
It is, after all, a security risk in some situations, and i
have no idea what kind of databases people plan to use this
with. Right now, i read /etc/my.cnf, write it out to a
temporary file, and tack on "\n[client]\nlocal-infile=1" to
the end, which is far less than ideal.

    Just a thought. You're the boss. :)
