i installed mute on windows to see exactly the same phenomenon. Mute does not restart automatically the downloads, you have to search for them again (with the hash_JNSLJBDKJBDKJB for example)

I use mute 0.5 (june 2006) on linux (debian - gcc 4.0).
I can start downloads, and it downloads. But when i quit and restart, mute does not detect the partial downloads to start them again.
the folder "MUTE_INTERNAL_Incoming" contains a *.name, *.avi and *.info.
the folder "MUTE_INTERNAL_hashes" contains nothing
