The MusicKit and SndKit CVS repositories have now been merged. Sorry
for the flurry of commits as I realised dear old sourceforge's
cvstarball generator seems to lag well behind it's advertised nightly
behaviour, such that I ended up blowing away the last 5 days worth of
commitals :-( Of course, I had them all on local copies (across three
platforms), and there are other backups, so speak up if something you
expect isn't now in the repository... At least I know CVS hasn't been
broken during the merge...
In the past, the MusicKit and SndKit sat next to one another, now all
the SndKit directories reside within a single MusicKit source tree.
This makes building a single "make all" command much more feasible and
makes packaging the documentation easier and more portable. It also
makes traversing the code tree easier.
There are a couple of minor points users should be aware of:
If you are working from the CVS head or branch of the tree, you need to
refetch the entire source tree, that just requires doing
mv SndKit SndKit_premerge
mv MusicKit MusicKit_premerge
cvs -d:pserver:cvs.sourceforge.com/cvsroot/musickit co MusicKit
If you have any modified code in your local copy of the old tree
(*_premerge), you need to copy those files back into their respective
locations, or submit them to the patch list or directly to me for
All that has happened is the source code has moved around. The SndKit
can still stand-alone, and still builds to a SndKit.framework file,
such that you do not need to build/bundle the MusicKit.framework if you
are only doing audio data processing, not music processing.
The CVSview web application runs from a delayed backup, such that it
could take a few days for the new structure to be apparent.
