Sourceforge's upload RAID died, just after I uploaded the source tarball for the MusicKit V5.2.0 (what's my luck?), such that the MK V5.2.0 source listing reports an un-found file. Since there is no word on when the upload machine will be back up, I've placed the file on tomandandy's ftp server:
The main change is MIDI I/O is now functional on MacOSX. Unfortunately, there is an acknowledged bug in Apple's CoreMIDI playback code on public beta causing intermittent pauses on playback, Apple is working on it. Input of MIDI seems fine.
I should have binaries up for MOXS and MOX fairly soon, although this week is very busy for me.
In addition, I have a binary for a MIDIMan USB MIDISPORT 2x2 interface driver that should be up soon. Unfortunately I can't yet release the source for the driver as I am under NDA from MIDIMan. Some other MIDI devices (Roland) should just work without a separate driver, so if you want the Apple source, I suggest buying another product. Otherwise I've found the MIDISPORT to be a reliable little machine.
Once sourceforge is back on track, I'll place the copies there.
The README web pages (musickit.sourceforge.net) have been updated. The Concepts doco has been half converted to SGML and the remainder should be completed soon, probably madly edited on a 20Hr cross-global flight NY->Australia, since I'll be on vacation. That said, I'll still be checking email.
We should be in a position to open up tomandandy's CVS server for anonymous checkout's of the MK/SndKit source before the new year, once we've done an extra security audit. We'll also have in place the ability for select developers to upload changes. Now that the doco is converting over to SGML, that only leaves nibs as the reason to not be able to use sourceforge's CVS repository.
