(2009.02.22, 15:45) Hi. So far, I have been able to manage my Munin installation by myself. At this point, though, I am encountering what appears to be a bug and I need help. I wrote a plug-in that reports, among other things, the number of processes of a certain program that are currently running. I want to trigger an alert if no such processes are found. All is well and my plug-in contains the following instruction: processes.critical :1 which, according to <http://munin.projects.linpro.no/wiki/fieldname.warning> indicates that a critical flag should be raised if the value ventures below 1. Since this counts processes, the only other possible value is zero. The problem is that I get error messages as soon as the value is NOT 1, not as soon as it is LESS than 1, such as the following: CRITICALs: Processes is 1.99 (outside range [:1]). Note that I am not sure why Munin would report 1.99 processes as this should be an integer value. This value is seen as a "gauge" value by Munin. I run Munin version 1.2.4. Your help is appreciated.
