I'm currently digitizing my MTG collection by entering all my cards into excel and then importing into Magic Assistant via CSV file. Almost of all the cards I've entered so far have worked, but there's about 60 (out of around 2000) that come up as "Name not found" even though they're definitely spelled correctly. Some of them also come up red but don't specify what error it is. I've attached their names and set info in a notepad file. How can I get these to work?

  • Btw it would have been a lot easier to enter cards using Magic Assistant,
    then exporting to excel.
Because it does search and you won't have any spelling mistakes and stuff.

I will check your file soonish.

Yeah, but we ended up using excel (via Google Drive) because there were two of us documenting cards simultaneously from different locations and because most of them are from the same sets so it's less to type

  • I don't have a format to import attached file. Do you have original CSV file I can test?

Here's the original file where all the bugs showed up (it has roughly 1100 cards in it, including the 60 problem cards)

  • If I replace tab with pipe in this file and add header
    NAME|SET
I can import all cards except 2 (as Magic Assistant Piped Table):
    Odruum Commander (misspelled)
Surging Sprite (I cannot find this card anywhere)

I think he/she may just need to open "File|Update Magic Cards Database" and manually update the two sets "Coldsnap" and "Ravnica: City of Guilds".

  • Actually I agree with previous comment, I tried csv and it all importing except for
couple double cards - I think you database got out of sync some-how. Or software.
First if you not running 1.3.1.14 please install it first.
Then Go to File->Update Magic Card Database... and select "Ravnica: City of Guilds" and click update, then "Coldsnap".
