The program seems to lag on my computer when I use the "clear all filters" button, especially in the main magic card database screen. I generally have to wait at least 10-15 seconds for the program to respond again. I am running a quad-core i7 processor with 8GB ram and have magic assistant installed on my 120GB SSD, so there shouldn't be any issues of this sort from my hardware. I don't know if this is an isolated issue for me, or if others have the same problem.

I'm running windows 8.1 and the program info is:
Version: 1.3.1
Build id: 1.3.1.9

sorry, it's the "reset the filters to default values" button.

  • When you do that what view are you using? I.e. Magic DB, Collector, etc?
Also do you use any groupping and sorting in this view?
Do you have cards selected before you click on restore filters?
(I.e. if you click on line - it will be selected, try de-selecting all
    by ctrl-clicking on your selection)

the issues are usually when I have a filter set like showing only a certain
set or just one rarity of card, while using the Magic DB

Just to let you know, it seems the problem has resolved itself with me updating to the latest version. I have a feeling it may have been caused by the size of my collection (over 15,000 cards now in the database) or possibly just stuff left over from previous updates. After a clean install and importing my collection into it again, it seems to be working mostly fine.

Sorry, forgot to log in. that anonymous post was from me.

  • Well I don't think it resolved, it does lag (not to extreme you described) for about 3-5 seconds. I know why it happens - normally table is lazy, i.e.
it does not create ui elements for stuff not shown on the screen. But when
you have selection, it tries to preserve it when we reset filters,
but if selection is happened to be off the screen it tries to set it anyway loading all table in ui (framework does). I need to remove selection before
    this operation.
