#264 Error when changing area from periods to times

Default resolution given when you change the area from periods to times is a 1 minute. Therefore, after saving changes you get the "You need to increase the value of $max_slots in the config file!" error message.

For normal user, the message is probably cryptic and meaningless.

The resolution should default to some reasonable value, such as 30 minutes or an hour and if the user is not satisfied, he can always go back and change it.

    Unfortunately it's not possible to switch between times and periods if you have existing bookings and want to preserve them. That's because the system has no knowledge of the mapping between times and periods. For example it doesn't know what time a period corresponds to - and indeed in some sites a period may happen at different times on different days.

    But if you don't have any existing bookings, or you don't want to preserve them, then you can change back to times by logging in to MRBS as an admin, going to the Rooms page, selecting the area in question and clicking the Edit icon.
