Maybe your copy of mplayer is not fresh. Maybe because of that other =
patch you tried to apply.
The change you have to make is simple. On the libmpdemux/asf_streaming.c
file on the function asf_streaming_start you have to copy the first if =
to be the last one checked. This makes mplayer change the order it =
tries. I think it works better to first try udp, then tcp of http if =
those two fail. This makes mplayer emulate media player actions better.
