No

Since mplayer can play FLV (Flash Video) files, could
you please add support for YouTube and similar sites?

Thank you!

Rejected for a multitude of reasons

    1. mime type conflicts with flash itself. Not nice to hijaak
another mimetype when you don't support the format
    2. Every video site uses custom flash, so finding the flash
video within the flash would be painful

And those are just the big ones...

    Ah i see...

what about those who dont have Flash installed? Maybe you
could have an option (disabled by default) that enables
    Flash support in the plugin.

custom flash? i thought they just used an <object> tag like
    youtube does.

anyway, its up to you really, but it would be a superb
    feature to have.

thank you for all the work you've done so far, we really
    appriciate it.

just as an FYI.. the mime type video/x-flv has has been
added to the list of supported mime-types. This does not
    conflict with the flash viewer.
