#170 Audio data lost due to buffer overflow

I'm using Mac OS X 10.3.9 and MPlayerOSX beta8r4. The
audio has become jittery and caused the video to slow.
With "No audio" selected in the preferences, the video
runs fine.

In Console, this line repeats:
8 bytes of audio data lost due to buffer overflow, len
= 16392

I can't think of anything that I've installed recently
that would do this. This happens to every AVI file I
throw at it, including ones that had no problem two
weeks ago.
