i want to know how to install from source code ( all tar.gz, are mostly source code).
And one more question that can i make rpm package from file you have provide so that those who dont know how to install from source code can also enjoy the software
Maybe you want to have a look onto "checkinstall". Download and install it as documented and then download the mp3blaster-source (tar.gx).
(In a console) Go into the directory you saved the tar gz.
%tar xfvz mp3blaster-x.x.x.tar.gz
%su -c "checkinstall"
This should work on systems with RPM, DEB and ??? based Systems.
ATTENTION: On my box (debian sarge 1.1) i firstly had to uninstall mp3blaster because the new binary would install to /usr/local/bin and the old one is in /usr/binmp3blaster which would have started first. Check out
to know which version you use.
