[Motion-user] Motion, MRTG, stats, graphing From: Peter Smith - 2005-09-22 22:39:32 ```I just realized that there could be a very serious use for a facility within Motion to provide "motion" statistics to a command-line. If we already have this, let me know. If we can pull out of motion the current # of motion amount, then we could make a graph using MRTG, for instance, that would show the amount of activity with respect to each thread/cam and at what time. Could be useful for finding out sort-of what happened during a day, generate a base-line for normal activity, pin-point abnormal activity, and also summarize motion recorded.. Also usefull would be for each line of "motion stat" would be to also give the thresh-hold required to generate motion, so that a grapher could generically display on the graph where a movie would be found. Also a possibility would be to get stats on how many captures, snapshots, etc have been captured thus far. MRTG is good at graphing forward-rolling statistics, so making a usage graph is simple. Again, let me know if we already have this capability, as I do not believe we do. Thanks, Peter ```
