    Is lirc-mod-mce 0.1.5 still based on 8.1 lirc_mceusb2.ko module?
The only changes that I could find is that the hardware descriptions for the Pinnacle v2304 p0225 has been added.

    The support files haven't changed.
    kcompat.h................Version 5.24 2006/01/07..............lirc version 8.1
    lirc.h........................Version 5.10 2005/07/10..............lirc version 8.1
    lirc_dev.h.................Version 1.17 2006/09/22..............lirc version 8.1

Right now in lirc_mceusb2.ko 8.3 supports these hardware descriptions

I've just checked the newer version of lirc_mceusb2 and not only new receiver have been added, but the reception code also changed.

I am sorry to say that my code is "as is" and I don't intend adding more receivers as I don't own them and cannot verify the result. My time is very limited right now, so I really would be happy if someone else could re-synchronize with a newer lirc_mceusb2 version and clean-up the reception code. The main work was figuring out how the decoding of mouse and keyboard data could be achieved; the rest is "dumb implementation".

Maybe there is a chance to integrate this piece of software into lirc and have it maintained there (i.e. replace resp. extend lirc_mceusb2). I had a discussion with those lirc folks once but I really can't remember the result.

I would be really happy if someone else could take care of that part. Currently, I don't even find the time to process those support requests.

Florian - fully understand your position.  I think you have done marvels getting the mouse to work and am very grateful.  Well done.

I am sorry that I just don't understand enough about the "innards" of the drivers, coding etc, to be able to help. However, if someone has the skills and wants a tester etc, I am always able to help out as I have a couple of spare PCs.

Good luck to you and hope that all the other work you are doing is satisfying and profitable!!

        Regards

        Richard
