I am trying to use the program on a powerpc machine (Apple portable)
but I get always the same thing: when I try to send a config request
to create a new nym at a nym server the program asks me the
confirmation of the password and then it "stops" until the kernel
kills it because it goes "Out of memory. Aborted" (with top I see mix
process going further 20Mega).
These are the condition:
- mixmaster 2.9b33 and the same with cvs version;
- config request;
- Debian woody on ppc with kernel 2.4.18;
- all the libraries come from official packages, so mixmaster has been
compilated without idea support (openssl from Debian does not
include this cypher).
A friend hacked the sources with me and he saw a loop in the "wcs"
function included in rfc822.c file and something "strange" with the
check of the characters of the password; excuse me but my friend is no
more with me and I cannot explain better.

I'm interested in helping with mixmaster. What needs to be done?

There are some things that need to get done. Autoconf, a nice Aqua GUI
on MacOS, perhaps other frontends..
Perhaps you can tell us in which areas you already have experience
and/or in which you are interested in. I'm sure we can find something
which you enjoy and that is useful to useres.
