I am new to misterhouse and I have an issue with the IRlinc transmitter
(2114t) that can be used to control IR devices like TV or music system.
Does Misterhouse have support for IRlinc? Is it possible for me to send a
command (for eg: using mhsend) and get the IRlinc to send the IR signal
that it learnt?
I tried adding the following entry in the insteon.mht file..
IPLL, 0F.A4.DC:01, IRlinc, TV, PLM, 0306
Then using mhsend i gave the following command...
./mhsend -host 184.108.40.206 -run "IRlinc On"
I can see the following in the logs...
Running external command: IRlinc On set by mhsend
23/01/2010 22:14:25 Running: IRlinc on
23/01/2010 22:14:25 Ran mhsend command: IRlinc On

but nothing happens. I expected the emitter's to blink/flash but they dont.
Any help/guidance is appreciated.

Not explicitly. However, mh can act as a controller for linked devices.
I'm assuming that you've read
http://wiki.smarthome.com/index.php?title=2411T_Manual and noted that
the only documented means of controlling a 2114t is via linked controllers.

Given what I read in the above wiki entry, I would assume yes. But, it
will be a fair amount of manual steps I suspect.

That definitely won't work. Instead, you will have to create mh link
entries such as:
IPLL, PLM:40, turn_on_the_tv, TV, PLM
Then, you'll have to perform the linking instructions as documented in
the above wiki. To initiate controller linking, go to MrHouse Home ->
Browse Categories -> Insteon. Then find your controller link (e.g.,
"turn_on_the_tv") and select "initiate linking as controller".
BTW: I don't have one of these devices, so the above advise is the
extent of my knowledge.
