I know a few users on the MH list have netgear routers (RT311 & RT314).
I just found a site that allows some of us to upgrade to the Zyxel
software (they make the RT311/RT314 models for Netgear). The site
The nice thing about Zyxel's software is that it gives you SNMP and a
few other features. My RT311 has 1.12 boot ROMS so I was able to
upgrade. Apparently the 2.0 boot ROM have some problems. Anyway I'm
now going to make an effort to bring SNMP with my HP Jetdirect print
servers and the Netgear device into MH. I need the SNMP primarily
for getting the number of bytes sent. Seems more and more Broadband
providers are cracking down on bandwidth hogs and I'd like to know where
I stand on usage. The SNMP & HP Jetdirect are so I can determine when
the print jobs are done and turn off the printers.
