Try the UIRT2 interface. I love it and david n has
done an amazing job on the software to operate it.
BTW there is no "console" as of yet to control your
stereo. IE a webpage that has buttons that control
the indivdual functions of the system. (play,ff,rew)

Pjew - This problem took some time - but was actually easy to solve.
I got a PocketPC one month ago, and after rebooting last week MS
ActiveSync took over COM1. A simple setting (USB only) resolved the
MS, gotta love'em!

First I have heard of a security update affecting a COM port. Maybe
another program is accessing that port? Do you have any other ports you
try? Tried rebooting?
