xAP and xPL but solve a similar problem. I chose xPL because it was simpler but others have picked for different reasons. Probably the biggest difference between the iranger RFX xPL gateway is that currently it is a binary vs. perl for xPL-Perl. I don't use the one-wire devices so I cannot provide very much feedback there. The iranger gateway will also talk to multiple devices (RFX and w800) per invocation so it will save on memory if that is important.
