Searching for flite in mh/bin/mh.ini, I see this:

voice_text_flite        = /projects/misterhouse/flite

Did you have that set?  If so, try setting -debug voice, then looking 
for errata in the console that you can correlated to mh/lib/Voice_Text.pm
