Tim, The method "said" is used for two purposes, one to find out whether a voice_cmd was activated during the last pass, and what the state was. The typical mh way of writing this code is: if ($state = said $v_said_command) Another PERL equivalent way, which is easier to read (IMHO): if ($state = $v_said_command->said) The said method returns a false equivalent value (undef) when the voice command wasn't activated and the value of the state when it is activated.
