It depends on the type of PCD readout, and how much microprocessor hacking you're willing to do. If the LCD display has a parallel interface, the data bits are applied and a couple of status/strobe lines change state to clock the data into the display. It's possible to attach some sort of device to these lines to monitor the data (think of adding a second display in parallel), then have that device convert the data to serial or USB (the latest Circuit Cellar magazine has an article on making a USB device). Needless to say, this opens up an entirely new hobby for you. <G> It's not something you could just whip-up one evening, but it's definitely not a difficult project.
