The .password file is pointed to with the mh.ini password_file parm, which by default is $config_parms{data_dir}/.password Oops ... just reviewed the code and I see that set_password looks for mh.ini parm pw_file, not password_file! So not finding that, it will default to {data_dir}/.password independent of what you had set for password_file. I just fix that with the 2nd line here: $parms{pw_file} = $config_parms{pw_file} unless $parms{pw_file}; $parms{pw_file} = $config_parms{password_file} unless $parms{pw_file}; Not sure what the problem is with the widget error (mayb tk is not installed right?), but you can work around that with this example (from set_password -h): set_password -user admin -password xyz1 set_password -user family -password xyz2 Bruce -----Original Message----- I upgraded from 2.77 to 2.79 with only a few problems. 1. The Telnet is now asking for a password when it did not before. Cannot find a .password file anywhere, and when I try to set a password, 2. Set Password does not work. When I try to run it without parameters it gives me some errors: a. File '.../../.password file or directory not found b. Wiget error at line 156 The 2 must be related somehow. Also when I try to use the feature to bypass password protection on certain IP addresses it ignores and asks for passwords still. Question is where is the password file hiding? Peter |
