Sure, I think I can cook up a Text_Cmd object pretty quick. Will let you know. Bruce -----Original Message----- Bruce (or anyone else that can do this), I took a look at the Voice_Cmd.pm file, and came to a realization that copying and modifying this to work as a Text_Cmd would take me a while... If you will, I'd like to see this before the enxt release. I know this is REALLY close, but if it can be pulled off, I'll try to modify internet_in.pl to use the new commands, as well. What I'd like to see is the ability to run commands from telnet, IM, MHSend that are globally configured and/or coded. We have this with voice commands, but are limited by the VR software. If we add text commands, which will basically be the same thing as voice commands, but allow wildcards instead of lists of possibilities, as well as no VR integration, so a little less overhead. Idealy, it should work just like Voice_Cmd otherwise. I'd like to be able to setupo a command like this: imsend screenname: text or imsend -sSCREENNAME -pPGM text (like a DOS or Linux command line command) If this was create with: $t_imsend = new Text_Cmd('imsend [*]'); ...then I can use the parameters and parse it in code. The above will work well, and I'm wondering if this would work as well: $t_imsend = new Text_Cmd('imsend [*]: [*]'); If the above could work, then it's only be called if it was a match. Maybe it would be helpful (in a later release) to allow for regular expressions within the brackets? I know this is probably too much for the next release... I *know* I couldn't do it by the next release, givien my inexperience with Perl, and the limited time I have. I figure, it doesn't hurt to ask! :-) Thanks! Steve Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
