Well, I tried the SignaLinc Plug-In Phase Coupler (http://www.smarthome.com/4816.html) and it made no difference to my system. I am still unable to control items on the other phase of my electrical system. I am now going to try what I should have tried in the first place, a coupler / repeater. There appears to be a couple of them at www.smarthome.com. Can anyone tell me the difference between these two: 4820X X10 SIGNAL COUPLER REPEATER (http://www.smarthome.com/4820.html) $159.95 4823 LEVITON 2-PHASE X10 AMPLIFIED COUPLER/REPEATER (http://www.smarthome.com/4823.html) $89.95 The 4823 has additional indicators and a built-in test signal generator. I would have expected it to cost more, but because of its lower cost, I am wondering if the 4820X is better or does something additional that I am just not seeing. Any thoughts on what to purchase? Subject: [misterhouse-users] X-10 Electrical System Help I have identified that my X-10 problems are due to the 2-phase electrical setup here. My home has a main electrical panel consisting of 40 breakers as well as a secondary panel consisting of 24 breakers (14 used). By coincidence, all of my X-10 items are currently located on this sub panel. I am thinking of purchasing the SignaLinc Plug-In Phase Coupler (http://www.smarthome.com/4816.html) as its installation is to simply plug it in. No electrician needed. My question is that if the 220V dryer plug is located on the main panel, and with my X-10 items on the sub panel, will this work?
