I'm soo new at perl.. :) would you mind sending the lines from the items.mht which define your = variables/objects? I'm guessing that the $airlock_motion is an object of a type I've not found yet = in the pl files. $airlock_light is a X10I object $airlock_darkness is just a regular variable or perhaps a boolean. I see where you place a value into $airlock_darkness. And write to the = log_file. But why are you setting this value? Would you not be able to use = the state of the light itself as a reliable indicator? ($airlock_motion, $airlock_light, $airlock_darkness are defined in items.mht). Thanks Alan!
