[misterhouse-users] SonicBlue patent and prior art?

Sonic Blue has been granted a broad patent on "using a program guide to
select TV shows for recording on a digital video recorder".

Given the fact that a) misterhouse and related software have been doing
this for *years* with VCRs, and that a DVR is an obvious extension of a
VCR, I'd say we have clear prior-art on this one.

Patent #6,324,338 was applied for on August 7, 1998.
