I am using Ivista's InetView http://www.ivista.com <http://www.ivista.com> product in conjunction with Misterhouse to stream video from my camera's. This software was free for the base product when I got it, but I think they charge $20 for it now. I am using it with a switched video signal without any problems for about 4 months now. I am using the Hauppauge WinTV Go video capture/tuner card for my video input. You can get this card just about anywhere for $40-50. I have a link on my MH webpage to pull up the streaming video and also use MH to email stills and activate a VCR for recording whenever motion or another sensor is activated. I chose this software/hardware combo mainly because it was free and supports NT4.0 (one of the few that will), and it seems to be the most robust packages I have used. It even supports Wireless protocols (WAP, i-mode, Palm, PocketPC) Joey -----Original Message----- From: Larry Roudebush [mailto:lo...@st...] Sent: Monday, July 02, 2001 11:09 PM To: mis...@li... Subject: [misterhouse-users] (no subject) Hello all, Two quick questions. 1. has anyone used Mr. House to view images via web cam? So you can check up on the house wile you are away. If so, could I get some info on how that was done. 2. Concerning voice response via a modem. I have seen short talk about it but nothing to show how it is done. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Larry |
