I'll also recomend www.phanderson.com. Over Christmas I bought his Basic Stamp2 starter kit. Well put together, great doc for learning (you can tell he's an educator) and great prices. I'm about to go back to his site to pick up the Beginner's PIC pacakge. It's based on the PIC16F84, but it sounds like a great inexspensive was to get going. Stamps are fun and a great way to start, but a tad slow, and at $40+ a pop, a bit pricey. Ian, I'd like to here more about your PIC and MH projects too.
