ah, I see what you've done. What I was trying to do was add a scan_alarm function to iButton.pm and add an extra parameter to the scan function in connection.pm This function was a copy of the existing iButton.pl scan function with an extra param passed to $connections{}->scan. Essentially they acheive the same thing though.
