    Hey there,

    in release 1.1.2 the following change was introduced:

    1.1.2 - Released 06-Mar-2014
    [...]
    - Add an extra folder level if there are multiple media locations.
    [...]

    Is it possible to disable this feature? Because I wanted to merge two different media locations for the same format (video), like I was able in 1.1.1

    Thanks for any tips and help!

    Best regards

    I just pushed a new commit to git to add a new "merge_media_dirs" config option. That should make it work like you desire.

    the update to git has caused the thumbnail patch to fail (minidlna-1.1.2-thumbnail.patch released on 03/07/2014)

    Hey there,

    got checked out the git version and tried to test the disabled feature.

    I have this media locations:
    media_dir=V,/mnt/array1/share/downloads
    media_dir=V,/mnt/array1/share/video
    media_dir=A,/mnt/array1/share/music
    media_dir=P,/mnt/array1/share/picture

    and set the new variable

    set this to merge all media_dir base contents into the root container
    note: the default is no
    merge_media_dirs=yes

    and got root_container set to default
    root_container=.

    but the above two video media locations are not merged.

    Therefore I wanted to ask why and what I'm missing? In release 1.1.1 I was able to see both video content of downloads and video in the same directory level for Videos.

    Thanks and best regards

    Did you try rescanning after changing the config?
