No

scanning stops (it looks) at the same time every time the server starts. There was an inotify limit error but i fixed that.

The files.db is 10.2mb and i've attached my log file. not sure what else i can look at.
The BEST dlna server though!

It's probably a ffmpeg library issue. Can you try running in debug mode (the -d argument) to figure out which folder it's stopping at?

when i run manually as root with debug mode it scans everything.
when i rebooted and used the init.d script it fails to go past A in my music library.

so it's the way the init script starts minidlna. is there a line to edit to add the debug flag?

Not without modifying the code (minidlna.c, line 806 change "warn" to "debug"). There's another feature I've been meaning to add but haven't had a chance yet...

Are you using the latest version? Compiling from source or using the binary? I know there was an issue with scanning images without read permissions, but that was fixed in 1.0.22.
