First of all - minidlna is a super product. I use it with MediaMonkey, my TV and other devices. But. I also have a Sony NAS Z200 - an odd AIO device that looks nice and was really pricey at the time. It doesn't work, unfortunately. It does work reasonably well with Mediatomb and the defunct forked-daapd. Using minidlna, the device can only browse the music inventory (that works fine), but when I try to play back a track - well I can't. I have recorded a session using the minidlna debug functionality (attached). I see that you have made allowances for other quirky devices - can you do the same for this one?
