No

I have movie thumbs together with movies in one folder. Thumbs are named the same as movies only extension is changed to jpg. This fact prevents some clients to start the movie and the movie size show by the client is zero. If no thumb exist then the movie starts to play. At least xbmc and my blu-ray player dlna clients are affected. The wdtv live client works on the other hand.
I'm using minidlna 1.0.22

What kind of blu-ray player are you using?

This also happens with 1.0.25. I recently filed this bug with the VLC team but I'm not sure whether it's a minidlna bug or a VLC bug. The team over there has a little more information but I think a short conversation between minidlna and VLC developers would clear this bug up.

    See the vlc bug report:

Oh, by the way, I can confirm that this issue affects VLC (under windows and linux), Totem, and XBMC. Strangely, it does not affect the WD TV Live Plus device.
