Hello, I was told last month that the tentative release date for the new version of MinGW GCC 3.x was April 15th. Since today is April 17, does anyone know when MinGW GCC 3.x will be available? Thanks in advance for your Email reply. - Bill |

The amount of breakage since GCC 3.0 continues to amaze me. We still have about 30 open bugs that we need to try to resolve for this release. To that end, I'm as of now slipping the GCC 3.1 release date by two weeks, until May 1st. <snip> Mark Mitchell ma...@co... The GNU folks delayed 3.1 release date for almost two weeks. Danny Smith said a hundred times that he will release MinGW binary packages in a short period after the GNU release. It is plausible that you can build gcc 3.1 yourself using MSYS. If you are really anxious to see gcc 3.1 on your machine you can build an snapshot. I don't know how much work this represents, though. -- Oscar |
