I am using MinGW 4.5.0, w32api of 3.15, and _mingw of 3.18, in native Windows 32
Passing the -lmsvcr90 to the command line produces an exe that references both
msvcr90.dll and msvcrt.dll. Assuming one get the application manifest sorted out
(written and inserted into the exe) and changes the spec file to use -lmsvcr90,
MinGW produces an executable that depends exclusively it appears on msvcr90.dll.
However, running the program, one gets a dialog-based error message that reads:
The procedure entry point _winmajor could not be located in the dynamic link
Dependency Walker also confirms this with an error of its own concerning this
matter when one tries to investigate the program, like so:
Error: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export
function in an implicitly dependent module.
I have googled this and searched this forum and found a reference to the same
problem that one faced about a year ago:
So my question is has there been any progress? If yes, how does one correct
this. If no, in the thread whose link is posted above, one poster asked for
patches to winapi. Where does one start? I'll be grateful for any pointers.
