As I have mentioned a few days before, I am not an expert in
programming at this
level, but I incidentally need to. Maybe you could make me it easier... or more
I need to develop an application that captures images from a webcam, to
eventually run it in Windows. Bearing it in my mind, I arrived to MinGW, because
it offers some cross-compilers to generate applications at Unix-like
to be run on Windows, as a native platform. (Please, feel free to correct me in
whatever I could be wrong).

similar to those
I need. When I tried to genereate this application (specifying
export CC=/cygdrive/c/cygwin/MinGW/bin/gcc.exe, due to other attempts
reported that a cross-compiler was necessary), the configure script aborted,
telling me that "Can't find X include. Check your installation and add the
Investigating on Internet, I knew X refers to xorg-devel package. Proceeding
in that direction, I installed xorg-devel, and then I tried to
configure the application
again, getting the same error message.
So, could you, please, or another one of you, tell me, what is wrong in my
interpretation of this situation?
If you tell me that I am totally wrong, no matter. I will follow
learnig,...whatever be necessary... but I will get the solution to my problem.
Thanks, in advance.
