I'm installing MSYS and I'm confused about the runtime requirements of some packages (the ones that require libiconv, libintl,...)
For example tar-1.23-1-msys-1.0.13-bin.tar:
But the release notes of libiconv-1.13.1-2-msys say:
This is not the libiconv you are looking for
This msys-specific version of libiconv, and the related msys-specific
versions of autoconf, automake, gettext, and libtool, are NOT intended
for use other than from within the MSYS DVLPR environment
Only in the MSYS DVLPR environment would this version of libiconv be
If I understand correctly it means this package should only used when building applications for MSYS. It's not my case.
Should I ignore this warning and install it or do I need an other package?
