I am writing a free applicatin so I am avoiding commercial add-on
libraries. I want to use ONC RPC (Sun RPC) to maintain compatibility to do
RPC calls to unix machines. It looks like the free ONC RPC library for
Windows is my best bet:
Has anyone successfully used this with mingw, or am I on my own here?
It is old BSD code that was ported to work with MS and Boreland compilers.
It looks like a lof of work to re-compile it with mingw, but perhaps not
so much work to use the precompiled .DLL? I have successfully created a .a
library file from the .DLL file.
However looking at the .DEF file it does not look like all of the RPC
routines are in the .DLL. For example, callrpc() appears to be missing.
Anyway, I would love to know if anyone else has gotten this to work?
