hPrevInstance is a handle (an unsigned integer), not a pointer, and it is
perfectly legal for it to be 0. In fact, if I recall correctly, it is always
0 in Win32 (something to do with each Win32 program running in its own
address space).In Win16, if hPrevInstance == 0, then there is no other
instance of your program running, otherwise yit is a valid instance handle.
