AFAIK getopt is POSIX and not part of MSVCRT.DLL so you can't use it
automatically. It is in libiberty.a but no header is currently provided with
MinGW (this might change in future). Possibly a better idea would be to find
getopt.c and getopt.h (e.g. from GNU gengetopt source) and include them with
your program's source, depending on licensing issues.
