Hello again all,
Since I can't receive a raw packet yet, I went ahead and started testing sending
a raw UDP packet. Once I got my checksums sorted out, I got it to send the
exact packet I gave it, which includes the IP and UDP headers. I have a simple
Java program listening on another host for UDP packets and it picked up the
packet I sent it and reported that it came from the address I specified in the
packet (and not where it actually came from). This is working on both Windows
2000 and Fedora Linux.
So a little progress, but I still can't read a raw packet.
Does this shed any light on the subject? Is there a reason I can send a raw
UDP packet but I can't read one?
Thanks in advance,
