Ok, I'm doing some C/C++ programming, and I am attempting to transfer some work
from my work computer (running linux) to my home computer (running winXP).
I've downloaded MinGW, MSYS, and GCC, but am getting an odd error when I try

I cut out most of the errors, because they're all variations on the same theme...
"alloca" is redefined, and "this is the location of the previous definition".
Now, I don't pretend to be an expert with linux and gcc... most of my training
was in java on windows machines. Can anyone give me any suggestions as to how
to solve this problem (and hopefully explain why the problem happened in short,
simple words?) Thanks!
