1) Compile your code with debugging information by adding -g to the
2) Run your program within gdb (the GNU Debugger). For example:
C:\> gdb hello.exe
[Lengthy copyright and version info snipped]
Starting program: C:/hello.exe
Program exited normally.
With luck, the program will halt where it usually does, but you will get
a more meaningful error message. In particular, you will know where
it is crashing, and then you can take it from there.
