You might want to take a look at an Insight port which is available at
It uses the Cygwin .dll, but can be launched as a standalone Win32/Mingw

You've done nothing incorrect. We've dropped the ball on gdb. I would
be glad to upload it to the MinGW sourceforge web download if someone
gives the steps/patches to build it and answers list questions.
P.S.: I believe the creators of Insight has a win32 native version,
IIRC. Check the Redhat.com website for it.
